ChatGPT introduces app for iOS: the ChatGPT app syncs your conversations, supports voice input, and brings OpenAI’s latest model improvements to your fingertips. The app is free to use and syncs your history across devices. It also integrates Whisper, their open-source speech-recognition system, enabling voice input.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman testifies before Congress: OpenAI CEO calls on lawmakers to create safety standards for artificial intelligence.
Altman’s remarks come the day after he met with more than 60 House lawmakers over dinner. The bipartisan gathering, featuring roughly an even split of Republicans and Democrats, saw Altman demonstrating various uses of ChatGPT “to much amusement,” according to a person in the room who described lawmakers as “riveted” by the event.
Google Colab: will soon introduce AI coding features (code completions, prompt-based code generation, assistant chatbots) using Google’s most advanced family of code models, Codey.
Google launches MedPaLM2, new state of art for medical question-answering: Med-PaLM 2 scores 86.5% on MedQA-USMLE, exceeding Med-PaLM's score by >19% , & 81.8% on PubMedQA. Perplexity launches CoPilot: your interactive AI search companion. Perplexity Copilot guides your search experience with interactive inputs, leading you to a rich, personalized answer, powered by GPT-4.
CEO of Zapier on putting AI and automation to work for you: two new AI beta features: creating a Zap using plain English and allowing users to customize workflows without writing any code.
Stability AI has announces StableStudio: a new open-source variant of its DreamStudio AI text-to-image web app.
Snowflake In Talks To Acquire AI Search Engine Neeva: Neeva, founded by former SVP of Google ads, aimed to be the “Google Search-killer” and was valued at $300M. Neeva’s underlying tech might be able to help solve a different problem: helping enterprises find information internally.
Zoom partners with and invests in Anthropic: Zoom will use Claude, an AI assistant built with Constitutional AI, to build customer-facing AI products focused on reliability, productivity, and safety.

New York City Public Schools remove ChatGPT ban: Chancellor of NYC Public Schools, David Banks: “ChatGPT caught NYC schools off guard. Now, we’re determined to embrace its potential.”
Grammarly Wants to Expand Its AI From the Classroom to the Office: the company is rolling out new features for its AI-powered communication assistant called GrammarlyGo and laid out its roadmap for an AI-connected workplace, which eventually will include the capability to summarize key points in a long email string, identifying whether the information is already shared within the organization and composing a reply. They also aim to integrate with other applications such as Slack and Gmail.
ServiceNow partners with Nvidia to develop ‘super-specialized’ generative AI for enterprises: ServiceNow is looking to build custom generative AI models for enterprises, fine-tuned to learn from a company’s vocabulary and provide accurate, domain-specific answers.
